We have the possibility to arrange two types of medical insurance for foreigners:

1. Foreigners´Basic Medical Insurance – that covers only the essential examinations required to determine diagnoses and medical procedure, essential treatment and hospitalization at healthcare extablishments, necessary operations and subsequent care and urgent dental treatment.

Insurance may be taken out for any period from one day to 36 months and the insured person need not meet any entrance age condition. The territorial validity of the insurance covers the Czech Republic, Schengen area states and transit countries. Clients may chaose standard or superior standard insurance, insurance for sports competitions nad insurance for dangerous sports.

The Basic Medical Insurance costs:

• „Above Standard“ means, that events occurring in connection with the performance of the Insured Person’s working activity or employment.

The limits of insurance coverage:

 *L1, L2 – gross up limits (the tariff rate of standard and above standard insurance is higher)

2.  Foreigners´Medical Insurance – that provides healthcare to an extent comparable with that of Czech public medical insurance, covering preventative examinations and vaccinations, payments form medicines and healthcare aids and emergency stomatology. It also includes insurance to pay daily contributions during hospitalization. We also offer supplementary insurance form pregnant women, including prenatal and postnatal treatment of mothers, as well as postnatal care of mothers and children. This insurance is recommended for those residing in the Czech Republic for an extended period of time.

Insurance may be taken out for a period of six months to three years and the insured person may be from 0 to 70 years of age. The  territorial validity of the insurance covers the Czech Republic and transit countries, and since December 2007 it has also been possible to choose terretorial validity for the states of the Schengen area.

Foreigners´Medical Insurance costs:

* all prices are in CZK per month

* "standard" - children under 1 year old -  minimum period of conclusion is 12 months

* "newborn" - minimum period of conclusion is 24 months

There is not a difference in medical care, but in content of that the type "Newborn" includes the medical care of new-born baby, immediately after a childbirth (post partum). 

"Standard": covers gravidity, childbirth

"Newborn": covers gravidity, childbirth and  subsequential care of the new-born baby, untill you leave the hospital (maximum 3 months of continuously hospitalization).

The limits of insurance coverage: 

* L1 – gross up limit: the tariff rate of monthly charge is 30% higher


To arrange this type of insurence, you have two options:
a) take the entry medical exam:  the Insurance will start between 3-5 days (depends on a revisor doctor)
b) not take the entry medical exam: the Insurance will begin after 30 days (suspensory period) from the completion of contract.

If you can not be present at the office to apply for the policy, there is an option, that someone else could conclude the insurance for you. So called, the Policyholder (other person), who has been already in Czech Republic can visit our branches, arrange and take out the policy.
