Residence of an alien born in the territory o the CR

If an alien is born in the territory of the Czech Republic, his/her stay for over 60 days from the date of his/her birth is considered temporary. Within this period of time his/her parent is obliged to apply for different type of visa or residence permit based on which himself/herself is staying in the territory. This is done only in the event that the child will not leave the territory within 60 days from the date of his/her birth. In case that the parent cannot file an application for reasons not depending on his/her will (e.g. state of health of the mother after delivery), an alien – parent is obliged to inform police about the reasons without delay, and submit the application immediately after they disappear.

Apart from the application you shall submit also the child’s passport, if he/she has no travel document, you submit the passport of the parent, birth certificate of the child and a document on his/her health insurance.
