In the case of loss or theft of a travel document issued by his/her country of origin, a foreign national is obliged to notify without undue delay the Alien Police Inspectorate in charge of place of his/her stay in the Czech Republic. On the basis of such information the foreign national will be issued a document on the loss or theft of the travel document.

A foreign national will then be obliged to request the issuance of a new travel document at diplomatic mission of his/her country of origin.
