Pursuant to the Alien Act (§ 103 letter j) a foreign national is obliged to report any loss, as well as destruction, damage to or theft of a document issued in accordance with the Alien Act within three working days of the day on which such an event occurred to the Alien Police Inspectorate in charge of location of his/her stay in the Czech Republic (applies until 31 December 2008; as from 1 January 2009, loss of a document will be reported to the authority which has issued such a document).
