From 1st July 2008 on,  the Foreigners Police will not request from foreigners Extract from Police Record. It will arrange for it by itself.

According to the law No. 124/2008 Col., which amends among others the law on residency of foreigners in the Czech Republic, the Foreigners Police will not request from 1st July Extract from Police Record from visa applicants requesting visa over 90 days, further from those requesting long-term stay permit, as well as long-term stay prolongation and permit for permanent residence.

The Foreigners Police will arrange for the Extract itself. Foreigners are thus not obliged to provide it together with the application any more.
